The Phytema™ range of natural and organic pre- and post-shampoo treatments are made using natural ingredients, some of which are produced organically. They hydrate and nourish your hair all the way to the ends, to keep it shiny and supple, and to protect against harsh everyday conditions.
On the face of it, using a pre-shampoo product might seem a little unusual: why apply an organic pre-shampoo treatment just to wash it straight away and cancel out the benefits? In fact, a pre-shampoo product should be left on far longer than a post-shampoo conditioner. A pre-shampoo treatment must be left on for at least 20 minutes in order to be effective. This allows enough time for the product to penetrate to the core of the hair shaft and thus to take effect. The benefits for your hair are described in more detail in our product sheet.
The natural and organic conditioner is designed to allow people who do not have the time for a pre-shampoo product to apply an equivalent treatment in the shower. The conditioner should be left on the hair for around 10 minutes, and then rinsed.
For both of these treatments, it is important to remember to rinse thoroughly, so as to avoid any residues from the products weighing down the hair and giving them a greasy appearance. The product must be washed off the entire length of the hair, all the way to the ends.
