How to look after your hair and scalp

One of the important factors in preserving your hair is simply to reduce your day-to-day stress levels. At excess of stress reduces the duration of the anagen, or growth, phase of the hair. As a result, the life cycle of the hair is shorter and the number of growth cycles in a life time is used up more quickly. 

Head massage is a good way of slowing hair loss. Stimulating the scalp (and better yet with essential oils) helps to improve the condition of the hair bulbs and thus the health of the hair.

Our health is in part linked to our diet, and the same is true for our hair. For example, iron increases oxygenation of the blood, and the more oxygen a hair gets, the better the hair grows!

The use of anti-hair loss products (link) can also help to stem this phenomenon while seeking a more definitive solution.

Standard hair care products may be too powerful and harsh on the scalp. Similarly, they may cause chemical substances to penetrate the hair in order to give it hold or shine. Obviously, this is not good for the hair!

A visit to the hairdresser is always of benefit to your hair, as the ends are easily damaged so having them trimmed generally serves to improve the overall condition of the hair.
